The 2026 Thomond Swim will take place on Saturday 13th June 2026.
The 1800m open water tidal swim starts from the slipway at St Michael’s Rowing Club on Clancy's Strand and proceeds up the River Shannon turning just below Thomond Bridge. Competitors then swim down river past King John’s Castle, the Civic offices, Shannon Rowing Club before finishing back at St Michael’ s Rowing Club.
