On Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th August 2026, Limerick city will come alive as the European Sport for All Games brings people from across Europe together for a vibrant weekend of sport, culture and fun.
Featuring traditional sports and games from 23 countries, this international festival is all about participation, inclusion and shared experience. This non-elite competition, is a chance for everyone to watch, take part in and try something new while enjoying the atmosphere. Events take place across the city in Arthur's Quay Park and The People's Park, Honans' Quay, Nicholas Street, The Crescent at O'Connell Avenue and The Hunt Museum Garden with demonstrations, workshops, come-and-try sessions, music, colour and activity for all ages.
So whether its Tchoukball or Tamburello, Ball Games or Barrell Rolling, there will be something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you are taking part, cheering others on or simply soaking up the festival atmosphere, the European Sport for All Games will bring the colour, energy and traditions of Europe to the heart of Limerick.
