The Island swim is a 3.8km river swim through the middle of the medieval centre of Limerick.
The Island swim is a 3.8k open water swim aroudn Kings Island. Up to 250 swimmers will swim the route for the 12th year of the swim. Organised by Limerick Narwhals Open Water Swimming Club, the swim was awarded the Best Organised Open Water Swim 2025 by the Irish Long Distance Swimming Association and continues to attract swimmers from all over the world to Limerick. Proceeds of the swim goes to local charities and clubs.
