Wading Birds Talk

Thursday 28th May @ 7pm
  • Wading Birds

As part of Lough Gur Biodiversity Festival, discover the fascinating world of wetland birds with the Wading Birds EIP.

This important conservation initiative works to protect and restore Ireland’s threatened breeding waders through habitat management, farmer engagement and science-led conservation. The talk will explore species such as curlew, lapwing, redshank and snipe, while highlighting the importance of wetlands and water-rich landscapes for biodiversity. A great opportunity to learn more about these remarkable birds, the challenges they face, and the work being done to support their future.  All ages welcome.
