Lakes in Ireland: Mirrors of Change Talk

Monday 25th May @ 7pm
  • Lakes in Ireland

As part of Lough Gur Biodiversity Festival, join Catherine Dalton for an engaging evening exploring the Lakes in Ireland and their wider importance for biodiversity, water quality and local heritage.

Catherine is Professor of Environmental Geography at Mary Immaculate College and her work focuses on aquatic systems, islands, catchments, lake mud and citizen science. This talk will offer insight into how lakes reflect environmental change, why they matter to communities, and how protecting them benefits both nature and people. A welcoming event for anyone interested in water, wildlife, landscape and the future of our lakes.
