Celebrate cultural exchange through movement and dance at this welcoming programme of intercultural workshops.
Led by experienced traditional dancer and facilitator Ciara Flanagan, the workshops will introduce participants to traditional Irish dance styles and rhythms alongside an introduction to German folk dance.
Each workshop will be carefully tailored to its age group, with separate sessions for children, teenagers and adults. The emphasis will be on participation, enjoyment and cultural exchange in a relaxed and inclusive environment. No previous dance experience is necessary, and participants are encouraged to come along, join in and enjoy moving together.
As part of the national Presidency programme, Limerick is proud to participate in a county-pairing initiative with Germany, fostering closer cultural, educational, economic and civic links between our communities. We are celebrating Ireland’s place in Europe and highlighting the many benefits of European cooperation.
These events will provide opportunities for citizens, businesses, community groups and visitors to engage with European themes, learn about EU-funded initiatives, and celebrate the strong relationship between Ireland and Germany.
