An exhibition by Gary Dempsey exploring Irish folklore, seasonal traditions and Samhain as a time when the boundary between this world and the otherworld is thought to be less distinct.
The exhibition brings together atmospheric graphic images exploring the connections between Irish folklore, seasonal traditions and contemporary Halloween practices. Drawing on the mystery surrounding Samhain, the work considers how older traditions continue to shape everyday life and how cultural heritage is carried forward and adapted over time.
