This photo overlooks where the Abbey river meets the Shannon. The Shannon being such an iconic river in Limerick’s history and culture for decades as it was once upon a time one of Limerick’s only links to Europe.
I chose this location because it is a meeting place for many cultures of communities and a place where city cultural shows take place. It is one of the views of the city that visitors admire, where history and modernity are mixed.
Limerick is in line with the pan-European trend of developing urban green areas. All green areas and city parks are a refuge for birds and small animals, as well as a place for rest for residents and tourists.
European Embrace is also the dissemination and popularization of national heritage and local history. In this area, all kinds of monuments and memorials located in various parts of the city play an undeniable role.
Limerick is a city full of contrasts, a place for all kinds of activities. One of the places developed on a European scale is the Shannon River embankment. Aesthetically arranged space allows you to relax in the bosom of nature without leaving the city.
The wide majestic Shannon flows through Limerick city on its way to the sea. In this photo we see many of Limerick's historic buildings which attract many visitors.

My picture is a shot of Curragh Chase from 120m in the air. This shows a different side to what Limerick has to offer the world, as positioned on the edge of the Atlantic and as a gateway to Europe.
Both the background and foreground of this photos seek to capture in different ways the embrace of the life blood of the city which is the River Shannon.
A view of the Shannon as it makes its way to the estuary leading to the Atlantic with a modern, outward looking Limerick waterfront that is a meeting point for people of all cultures.

I chose this photo to show my tribute to the wonderful artist, Dolores O'Riordan who will forever make Limerick, her home town, part of the world she inspired with her creation.

What a quircky place it is! Tiny, edgy Limerick street with a Georgian bow connecting two sides of this street. What a beauty though! I'd say many tourists would love to see that place landmarked as an European tourist attraction!
River walk near King John's Castle. It shows the beautiful river walks and how accessible, vibrant and scenic the city is. It shows the connection and community of river activities right in the heart of the city.
Sunset walk - This photo was taken on a section of Glin Heritage Walking Trails. Leaving Glin Town Park following a path around Knockaranna along the Shannon shore line. This path will lead you to Glin Pier.
This photo to me encompasses vibrant limerick and the talent and opportunities this city can and will create in the future. The future is bright and the mural is yet another reminder.
