Coláiste na Trócaire is a multi-denominational co-ed Community College in the Trusteeship of County Limerick VEC and the Sisters of Mercy. It evolved from the amalgamation of two schools, Rathkeale Vocational School and Scoil Bhanríon na hEagna, opening in September 1995.
The characteristic spirit of Coláiste na Trócaire is seen in the collaborative way that the entire school community works. The mission statement, with its emphasis on partnership, Christian values and the creation of a happy, caring and enriching environment, encapsulates this spirit. The school’s vision is seen in the pastoral support for and the inclusive welcome afforded students with a wide range of abilities and disabilities. Catering for the variety of learning capacities and the talents of students is paramount.
