The REES is free, voluntary and confidential. The Rural Employment & Education Service (R.E.E.S) is a dedicated service that works with people who experience barriers and who feel they need support to enter or re-enter employment, explore education/training opportunities or wish to become self-employed.
The Rural Employment & Education Service (R.E.E.S) provides assistance to individuals including:
- The long-term unemployed
- Under-skilled people
- Those experiencing social barriers to employment
Supports include one to one support to identify career progression paths, the provision of tailored group work programmes including jobseekers networks and employment related training and development of linkages with relevant services
In addition individuals seeking to explore the option of becoming self-employed can avail of pre-start up supports, business mentoring, training and advice.
This service is operated by West Limerick Resources under the Social Inclusion Community Activation Programme (SICAP) 2015-2017 which is funded by the Irish Government and co-funded by the European Social Fund and includes a special allocation under the Youth Employment Initiative
