From the big department stores to the petite boutiques, Limerick's shops deliver fantastical festive windows every year! We asked you to nominate your favourite storefronts and windows, and here's some of the many, many amazing displays!
Brown Thomas' Christmas window display is always a showstopper and this year definitely didn't disappoint!
The 2016 theme is 'Winter Wonderland', based on the traditional, nostalgic Christmas we all grew up with; Santa Claus, watching Christmas movies, eating, drinking and being merry! Make sure to stop by the window when you're shopping in the city!
One of Limerick's top shoe boutiques, Serendipity's window is imaginative, stylish and festive!
With locations in Adare Village and Limerick City, window shopping is a must, shoe shopping is inevitable!
Bean a Tí Bakery & Cafe
Nestled on one of Limerick's prettiest streets, it's no surprise that many people voted for Bean a Tí's festive decor!
With Christmas trees sprouting from the first floor and an elegant wreath running the length of the building, it will be a welcome respite for many Christmas shoppers in the city this December!
Alternative Christmas Windows
Local sign painter Tom Collins has teamed up with Limerick-born artist Martin Finnin to create a series of Christmas windows with a difference.
The project, ‘Martin and Tom’s Alternative Christmas Windows’, created a quirky, playful, artistic take on the traditional Christmas windows.
The work was commissioned by Limerick businesses Canteen, The Sage Cafe, Bean a Tí Bakery and Cafe, Hook and Ladder, and Niki O’Connell’s Montessori.
Customers have an opportunity to support the project, with proceeds going to Limerick suicide prevention volunteer groups.
