The first-ever Treaty Xmas Fair has put out a call to vendors to line Nicholas Street on December 20 and 21 for a celebration of the best Limerick has to offer.

Limerick City has the makings of a new Christmas tradition as Treaty City Brewery announces their biggest outdoor Xmas Fair, taking place on Saturday, December 20, and Sunday, December 21, 2025, on the historical Nicholas Street.

With road closures transforming the Medieval Quarter into a pedestrian-friendly Christmas market, the festival is the perfect opportunity for local craftspeople, makers, and independent vendors to showcase their talents from 2 pm to 9 pm on Saturday and 2 pm to 8 pm on Sunday.

Treaty City Brewery owner Steve Cunneen says the festival hopes to "showcase" the best of Limerick, he said, " We are going to have a market both days. We're looking for small batch artisan producers based in the community to showcase the best of what Limerick has to offer.  It's a fantastic street, and so we're gonna have a really good, fun time and some Xmas cheer!"

With community at its core, Treaty City Brewery is proud to create a space where locals can come together at such a magical time of year. This will be the largest fair ever hosted by Treaty City Brewery, marking a major moment for the Medieval Quarter. Vendor applications are now open. There is no cost for a stall, and vendors keep 100% of their earnings for the entire weekend. Those wishing to apply can email events@treatycitybrewery.ie.

Speaking about the opportunity, Steve added, " It's part of our community initiative, and we love to get out there into the community. Limerick has some absolutely fantastic arts and crafts and people that are putting themselves out there every day, every week, all year. And we love to showcase the best of what Limerick has to offer. So come down to Treaty City, send in your applications, we would love to see you at the Treaty Xmas Fair here on Nicholas Street."

As well as the market, the fair will shine a light on the local musical talent from the northside of Limerick, a major musical highlight comes on Saturday evening when Hazey Haze performs at 7 pm, debuting his new album live on Nicholas Street.

Across both days, the fair will feature outdoor live music, festive treats, and the brewery’s signature mulled Sarsfield Stout, and Christmas toasties.

The community spirit doesn't end on the street as King John’s Castle has also added to the fair, offering 25% off family packages for December, with Ruth Vaughan of King John's Castle saying, " We're delighted to support Steve with the Treaty Xmas Fair, we are in the most historic street in Limerick. King John's Castle is the jewel in the crown. We're Steve's neighbour, so we're delighted to collaborate and support Steve on this fantastic initiative! King John's Castle is offering 25% off family packages for the month of December, so we encourage you to come down with your family, support the fair!"

Local residents are also feeling the "buzz" of the upcoming festivities, with one local resident, Catriona, saying, " Treaty City loves to have a buzz in the street and it is fabulous, really looking forward to it.  It's a fantastic neighbourhood, fantastic community, and we all love to get together and get things done, it's just brilliant!"

Thanking all of those who have shown their support so far, Steve shared his gratitude, saying, " I'd just like to thank the Limerick at Night team and the Limerick City and County Council for supporting this fantastic initiative. It's bringing more business and warmth into this community."

The Treaty Xmas Fair promises to be a joyful, vibrant, and memorable celebration - a perfect start to Christmas in Limerick.
