Fancy showing off your culinary skills at Riverfest

  • Riverfest Limerick BBQ 2014

How would you like to show off your culinary skills at this year’s Riverfest?

The closing date for entering teams into the Riverfest BBQ is fast approaching.

Anyone visiting Riverfest knows that a visit to the BBQ is something really special. There is a huge variety of tasty food to sample, including beef, chicken and fish, while some entrants even cook desserts on the BBQ coals.

The mouthwatering food will be cooked in front of your eyes as eager visitors wait to sample some of the gorgeous fare.

The fun at the Riverfest BBQ competition is second to none with novices BBQing side by side with professionals, all serving up the unique atmosphere that is the Riverfest BBQ.

The emphasis is on having a good time and enjoying yourselves, while teams will compete to be crowned Riverfest BBQ Champions and a chance to represent Ireland internationally.

This year the Riverfest BBQ will take pride of place along the River Shannon boardwalk at Harvey’s Quay from 12 noon on Saturday 29th April.

Mayor of the City and County of Limerick Cllr Kieran O’Hanlon said:” The BBQ is always one of the highlights of Riverfest. There is such an array of food on offer and barbecuers of all abilities are there cooking up some mouthwatering treats.”

“It is always great fun so why not participate and enter a team? You won’t regret it!”
