An exclusive Irish show for German dance music pioneers Digitalism will form just one highlight of 'The Electronic Carnival', a very special party on Friday 6th March at the Leaf pop-up warehouse.

From their classic album Idealism and its huge single Zdarlight to their stellar remixes for The White Stripes and Daft Punk, Digitalism are as at home in the mosh pit as they are on the club dance floor and this exclusive Irish show comes as they release their new album JPEG and once more take their extraordinary live show to the world’s greatest festivals from Coachella to Fuji Rocks.

Joining them at this special opening night party will be a man who was one of the first international DJs to play in Limerick 25 years ago and is now a global name in techno. From his eponymous parties at Amsterdam Dance Event to his renowned radio show White Noise which is beamed to over 40 radio networks around the world each week, Dave Clarke is the baron of techno, a titan of electronic music and the perfect musical foil to Digitalism.

Tickets for the Electronic Carnival at LEAF go on sale at 9am this Friday 20 December from Ticketmaster.

Intersection is the daytime symposium on the Business of Electronic Arts taking place on at the new LCFE campus warehouse space on Mulgrave street, which takes place on Friday 6 March. Hosted by Newstalk’s Jess Kelly and moderated by LEAF’s resident futurist Anne Lise Kjaer, Intersection is a one of a kind event bringing together everyone interested in our digital future. With panels on how E-Sports and pop-up venues are reshaping cities, AI and Art and Limerick’s position as Europe’s new Berlin, alongside speakers from Facebook, MTV, Tiktok and Spotify, workshops, breakouts and a midday sleep tech workshop, Intersection is best described as a particularly well curated day of interactive Ted Talks put together by someone who knows what you need to learn!

LEAF is for everyone so in addition to the late night parties, headline shows and workshops, Sunday 8 March will see the first LEAF Family Rave at the LEAF pop-up warehouse, and who better than to bring the (controlled) noise to this alcohol-free and family friendly early morning gathering, than Ireland’s festival rave favourites King Kong Company. With their famed live show and a reputation that has taken them from Glastonbury to filling the largest stage at Electric Picnic, these rave monsters are just the ticket for this immersive feel good family event.

With LEAF taking place all over Limerick City and comprising of symposiums, music trails, workshops, Fringe events and the first of headline shows announced for the pop-up warehouse space on the banks of the River Shannon - Leaf 2020 is set to be huge!
