Breat Cancer Awareness Month at University Hospital Limerick begins with a free public talk on the work of the Symptomatic Breast Unit.
The talk takes place in the CERC auditorium at UHL on Tuesday, October 2nd from 1pm to 2pm. All are welcome.
Members of the public who attend the lecture will leave with a better understanding of what to expect of breast cancer services and the patient journey.
“We want to tell the public what we do in the Symptomatic Breast Unit and what the journey is like for them once they are referred here. Some of the specialist team will talk people through some of the more common things we do in the Breast Unit,” said Ms Shoma Tormey.
