The second Limerick Garden Festival on Sunday 16th June at Limerick Milk Market will feature an exciting plant, garden and food market with over 50 traders from all over Ireland, all-day garden expert talks and many opportunities for gardeners, their families and friends to enjoy, engage and experience all things gardening.

This year, the organisers are getting an expert in festivals and horticulture to join the event; none other than Bord Bia’s Bloom manager Gary Graham will be the headline Garden Expert on the festival stage. Gary said: “I am delighted to see a new garden festival establishing itself in a key location in the West. An urban counterpart to the often park or rurally held festivals is a great addition to the annual calendar of Irish garden festivals and the team behind it is experienced and innovative. I wish them the very best of success and look forward to speaking on their experts stage on 16th June at the Milk Market in Limerick.”

“It’s a huge pleasure to welcome Gary Graham in Limerick who will speak about ‘How to create your Own Super Garden’ aligned to the Supergarden TV show.” said Chairman of the Milk Market Trustees, Liam Flannery. He continued by saying: “Our Garden Festival is continuing after a very successful launch last year and we look forward to welcoming gardeners and their families and friends on the 16th June.”

In 2018, the festival saw over 1000 visitors including experienced gardeners, garden novices and families. 50 stalls joined the festival from near and as far as Dublin and Wexford. Festival manager Carmen Cronin said: “The festival saw a great variety of stalls and we have many returning with a strong contingency of new stalls also in particular in our upgraded food area this year running in a food court style.”
