The brand-new activity centre, to debut in Autumn 2020, will be a haven for wellness and sporting pursuits for guests at the 5 Star Resort. Further elevating the guest experience, The Padel Club will provide a new wellness and sporting facility exclusive to guests staying at Adare Manor.

With the addition of a host of new activities including: two indoor padel tennis courts; a luxurious 17 metre swimming pool; and a simulation room for guests to try their hand at a host of sports such as golf, baseball, hockey, soccer and footgolf, among other facilities.

Padel tennis is the fastest growing sport in Europe and is increasing in popularity across the UK, US and Canada. The Padel Club at Adare Manor will lead the way in new leisure pursuits with Ireland’s first ever purpose-built indoor padel tennis courts. Padel tennis is a racquet sport in an enclosed walled court – one third the size of a tennis court – and with the same scoring system as tennis. Adare Manor looks forward to being the first and only private resort in Ireland to welcome padel players of all levels.

The Padel Club will enhance the resort’s suite of guest activities, offering numerous new features including a large luxurious swimming pool with an infinity edge leading to a hydro pool, a steam room, sauna, tropical rain shower and seating area. The Padel Club will also consist of a full state-of-the-art gym, featuring peloton bikes and water rowers, plus a yoga studio to cater for guest’s fitness and wellness needs. The new activity centre is set to include a simulation room where guests will have the opportunity to take technical golf lessons and putting practice or play a variety of games such as golf, soccer, baseball, hockey or footgolf.

Revealing plans for The Padel Club, Colm Hannon, CEO at Adare Manor said: “The team here at Adare Manor are always looking for ways to enhance our guest’s experience. We understand that the culture of fitness and wellness is becoming increasingly important to our guests of all ages, and our activity centre, The Padel Club, is our new offering to deliver this to our guests. We have reviewed similar facilities and trends worldwide and engaged with experts to ensure our facility exceeds guests’ expectations. Launching this Autumn, we are delighted to offer a whole new range of activities including Ireland’s first indoor padel tennis court, yoga, swimming, sauna and steam rooms, a full gym and simulation room.”

Located just two-minute walk from the Manor House, The Padel Club will be clad in wood and glass with complementary wood and stone finishes on the interior. This will be a holistic space for hotel residents, appealing to the senses whilst invigorating both mind and body.
