Citizens Information provides comprehensive information on all aspects of public services and entitlements for citizens in Ireland.
Citizens Information provide information on a wide range of subjects including:
- Social welfare
- Employment rights
- Housing
- Disability
- Tax
- Consumer rights
Advice: We provide advice to clients and help them explore the options available to them to enable them to decide on the best course of action.
Assistance: We provide assistance to complete forms, write letters, make telephone calls, calculate means tests and entitlements.
Advocacy: We advocate on behalf of clients and represent them at Social Welfare Appeals, Workplace Relations Commission and Residential Tenancies Board hearings where appropriate.
Citizens Information Services (CISs) provide the face-to-face service to the public. They are supported and funded by the Citizens Information Board.
Through trained staff, the Citizens Information Services provide free, impartial and confidential information, advice and advocacy services to the public.
