Homemaker service offers direct support, information and advice to families with children (0-8yrs) and their parents/carers across Limerick City and its environs.

Barnardos’ Homemaker Family Support Service is a trauma informed service for families and children with emerging needs. They work in partnership with parents and the wider community.
They are a home-based service that aims to improve children’s experience of home life through practical parenting support to develop routines and boundaries, parenting programmes, and parent/child work to strengthen and support communication and help children to express feelings and parents to support emotional regulation.
They take a strength-based approach in order to achieve sustainable change.
A range of group work support is offered to support parents and children who are ready to engage in programmes both through the project and in partnership with schools.
