Arthur’s Quay Park

Situated in the heart of the city, the park at Arthur’s Quay Park boasts an open-air courtyard and a panoramic view of the River Shannon. With close proximity to the city’s shopping quarters, the park is a perfect place to stop and take a breather from the bustling city atmosphere.

Robert Byrne Park

Robert Byrne Park, Clancy Strand provides a compact restful haven in which to sit and watch the water flow by and observe the bustle of the city centre across the river.

O’Callaghan Strand
A boardwalk like no other, O’Callaghan strand is an excellent spot to take a stroll or sit and enjoy an exceptional view of the riverfront, and the city skyline.

Shannon Fields, Corbally

A shared walking and cycling facility running parallel to the River Shannon through the historic Shannon Fields. Seating available along the route for those wishing to relax and enjoy the quiet or have a picnic.

Barrington’s Pier & Ted Russell Park

An often overlooked viewpoint of the city, as we can drive straight past it without even realising, Barrington’s Pier gives a refreshing view upriver of Limerick City. Adjacent the quiet nature reserve of Westfield's Wetlands and wildflower meadow, with plenty of paths and walkways, the area offers exploration and excellent jogging trails as well as the Ted Russell Park, a perfect hideaway for a relaxing walk or a picnic.

Castleconnell Riverside Park

Set beside the River Shannon, The Ferry Playground in Castleconnell with seating and ample car parking available, is a lovely spot to enjoy a picnic after a stroll through the Fairy Woods.

Foynes

Foynes Woodland, located on the banks of the majestic River Shannon and just over 17 acres in size, is a unique site that offers the visitor a great opportunity to take some time out and soak up what nature has to offer.

Glin

Glin Town Park is a perfect location for a picnic overlooking the Shannon. Located alongside Glin's state of the art Community Playground, there is seating and ample car parking available. There is also a walking trail along the Shannon Estuary, and all within walking distance of Glin Town Centre.
