Shannon Rowing Club based on Sarfield Bridge, Limerick, is the oldest rowing Club in Limerick City. The club sits on a man made island with a back drop of King John's Castle and St Mary’s Catherdral.
We are a rowing club, but our facility encompasses and caters for other sports and clubs, mainly snooker and chess.
Our home is in Limerick city, but we are lucky also to have a second location in Annacotty, Co. Limerick.
From the city we are based mid week where we do gym, bike and rowing machine work, and then on weekends we move to Annacotty to avail of a fantastic stretch of water. Annacotty is ideal, it is sheltered and is non tidal, this allows training at weekends to be at a set time and also adds a greater safety aspect to our rowing.
