Little Rugby

  • Little Rugby 810x456

Play orientated non contact tag rugby for boys and girls aged 2 to 5.

Little Rugby classes are a fun weekend activity suitable for boys and girls aged 2 to 5.

While the classes are rugby orientated the objective is to develop the fundamentals of movement (balance, agility and co-ordination) as well as fundamental movement skills (walking, running, throwing, catching, kicking , twisting, turning etc) in order to give children an excellent start and a passion for sport  which will stand to them whichever sporting discipline they may choose down the line.

The classes run for 45 minutes and consist of  three 15 minute sessions:

  • Warm up
  • Ball skills
  • Try scoring and conversions

Little Rugby are proud to be “more than just football” and in addition to physical and football skills our classes also develop social skills such as listening, taking turns, sharing in addition to early learning objectives; numbers, colours, body parts etc.

We run a different theme every week so children may be at the airport one week, a superhero the next, helping out at the zoo or the farm or searching for treasure or dinosaurs.
