Abbey Sarsfields GAA Club was founded in 1994.
The main aim of the club was to provide boys and girls from the parishes of St. Mary's and St. Nicholas with the opportunity of playing their national games of hurling, football, ladies football and camogie.
The club's catchment area covers the north side of Limerick city.
The club has won over forty underage divisional titles, a county under 16 hurling title and two junior hurling divisional titles.
