Over the years the club has developed its facilities to include:

  • Purpose built clubhouse
  • Gym
  • Indoor hall for sports activities and social functions
  • Grass running track and playing pitches
  • 500m grit track

The athletics club provides training twice a week for children from the ages of 7-18 years. Training continues throughout the year for both the cross country and track and field seasons.

We also have a fit4life group that meet and train on Friday nights as well as a number of active walkers and senior athletes using the facilities. The gym and track facilities are open from 7-10 pm Monday to Friday nights.

Juvenile training:
We are lucky to have a committed group of parents and senior athletes that help us to provide training for the large group of juvenile members we currently have.
Juvenile Training takes place on Monday and Friday nights from 7-8 pm

There is also a Little Athletics programme for younger athletes which will be run for a 6 week perod in March/April. Keep an eye on our news page for the commencement dates.

The Fit4Life Programme is designed to give people the opportunity to get fit and enjoy walking/running in structured environment. Participants set their own goals and are assisted by the trained Fit4Life leaders in the club. The emphasis is on improving fitness in a fun and sociable environment and no previous experience is required. All ability levels are catered for and participants exercise with others of a similar fitness level.
The fit4life group have a formal training session on Friday night from 7-8 pm and some members of the group also meet up on Sunday morning, Monday evening and Wednesday evening for informal meet and train sessions.
