PLACE-EE is a transnational partnership of public health agencies, local authorities, academics and ICT experts from Ireland, UK and Sweden, led by Ulster University, dedicated to improving the quality of life for older people.
The PLACE-EE Northern Periphery and Artic Interreg project sits within the Urban & Rural Community Development Department, a section of the Social Development Directorate. This project contributes an extra €177,000 to the Council and has been the catalyst for a number of social inclusion activities.
This project has facilitated the Age Friendly Engagement Awards in May 2019, as well as several successful intergenerational workshops from January to April 2019.
