Parking

Limerick City centre on-street parking from 50c for 30 minutes or €1 an hour is one of the cheapest in the country with 3,500 spaces available via the free Limerick e-Parking app, e-Parking local number +353 61 303093 and the E-Parking website, www.limerickparking.ie.

Limerick City and County Council is also providing additional free car parking spaces in the city in the run up to Christmas. As part of a series of initiatives to entice more people to shop and visit the city centre over the festive period, free car parking spaces become operational from 5th December.

Limerick City and Council Car Park, access via Nicholas Street

  • Limerick City & County Council will be making available the staff car park behind City Hall for free weekend parking
  • Dates: Saturdays & Sundays from 4th December to 19th December & Friday 24th December
  • Times: 9am -10pm (9am - 6pm on 24th December)
  • Cost: Free

City Centre On-Street Parking

  • Free on-street parking after 5.30pm daily
  • Free all day Saturday until 30th January
  • Free on Sundays as always

    Irish Rail Depot, Roxboro Road

    • A parking site has been made available by Irish Rail on the Roxboro Road. Irish Rail in association with the Council are providing free parking from 9am to 10pm from 11th to 24th December including Christmas Eve.
    • Dates: Saturday 11th - Friday 24th December
    • Times: 9am – 10pm (9am - 6pm on 24th December)

    Cleeve’s, O’Callaghan Strand

    • The Cleeve’s site, located adjacent to Shannon Bridge and accessed from the Condell Road, is also available for public parking.
    • Dates: Open 24 hours, seven days a week
    • Cost: Nominal charges by the operator: 7-day hourly rate of €1 for first hour | €3 daily charge applies thereafter

    Abbeyfeale, Kilmallock, & Newcastle West

    • The first hour of parking is always free during the hours of 9.30am and 5.30pm.
    • Additional 2 hours FREE on-street parking from 2.30pm daily from 4th to 31st December
    • Free on Sundays as always
