Non-compliance with Accessibility Requirements
Examples of content that may not yet be fully accessible include:
- Some legacy PDF, Word and other document formats published before September 2018.
- Some older documents and forms that may not be fully compatible with screen readers.
- Certain historic images, maps, diagrams or scanned documents that may not contain appropriate alternative text.
- Some older multimedia content that may not include captions, transcripts or audio descriptions.
- Certain third-party systems or embedded content that are outside the direct control of Limerick City and County Council and may not fully meet accessibility requirements.
We are actively working to address identified accessibility issues as part of our ongoing website improvement programme.
Disproportionate Burden
Limerick City and County Council does not currently claim any disproportionate burden exemption under the European Union (Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications of Public Sector Bodies) Regulations 2020.
Content Outside the Scope of the Regulations
