The Murphigans are a family of changeling characters that live in the trees and protect the earth.
They build their own tree swing nests and give safe passage through the woods, each having their own strength and virtue. They believe in rewarding a good heart. However, they can quite mischievous if crossed.
They like to be acknowledged with a simple wave, a tip of the hat and even better they love to be sung to wooden cut out characters that hang from their own swings.
The swing rope is used to tie the installation to the tree branch. They need to be up high out of reach with freedom of movement so they can rotate where they can be viewed from both sides. If clustered together they appear to interact as they move. Ideal for a park or garden.
The POPA Wagon is a mobile 1980s caravan with awning stage and space for art workshops and music. It is self contained and can be plugged in to create an electrical acoustic or speaker event.
