Join archaeologist Elaine Lynch who works as the Field Monument Advisor Programme in County Clare which is supported by the National Monuments Service- Archaeology.
Elaine also works with the farming scheme ACRES Burren Aran. Discover what happens on an archaeological excavation, learn about the amazing objects archaeologists uncover and explore sites from different periods of Irish history. You’ll even see some real excavation photos, including images of human skeletons, as we learn how archaeologists piece together stories from long ago.
After the talk, it’s your turn to get creative! Make your own medieval clay tile using traditional moulds and clay to take home. Perfect for curious young explorers who love history, discovery, and getting hands-on.
