The Irish Dance Playground

Monday 4th May @ 10.30am & 2.30pm
  • Scoil Ui Nuallain Irish Dancers at Riverfest Limerick

Get ready to spin and jig at the Irish Dance Playground, a joyful, interactive movement experience for children aged 3–8 and their families.

Led by Ciara Sexton of Scoil Uí Nualláin, this playful experience comes to life through the energetic character of Miss Ciara from the upcoming early years movement series It’s Time to Irish Dance with Miss Ciara.

Young dancers can dip in and out of a series of colourful movement stations, including the Tiptoe Trail, Jig Jump Garden, Rhythm Feet Corner, Spin Circle and Dress Up Corner. Bright floor markers like shamrocks, stars and footprints guide children as they discover balance, rhythm, jumping and coordination in a fun, intuitive way.

Every 20 minutes, the playground comes together for a special shared moment – The Riverfest Jig – where children and families join in a simple, feel‑good Irish dance sequence, moving and laughing together.

No experience needed – just comfy shoes, curious feet and a love of fun!
