A Pale View of Hills

Saturday 11th April @ 5pm
  • A Pale View of Hills

Niki, an aspiring journalist, wants to write a book based on her Japanese mother Etsuko’s post-war experiences in Nagasaki.

As Etsuko reluctantly begins to recall her memories, she slowly reveals some long-hidden truths. Based on Nobel Prize winner Kazuo Ishiguro’s first novel, A Pale View of Hills is an elegant and moving account of war, loss and memory.
