Clothing is never just clothing. We will explore how what we wear reflects and shapes identity and belonging.

Join Dr. Aoife McLoughlin, Lecturer in Psychology at the Department of Psychology MIC for this interactive workshop exploring how what we wear (from outfits to tattoos and jewellery) reflects and shapes identity, confidence and belonging, both socially and within ourselves. Held in the Captains’ Room at the Hunt Museum and drawing inspiration from the Sybil Connolly collection, this session considers the deeper meanings stitched into our wardrobes.

Participants are encouraged to bring along any magazines/pictures they have that they might draw fashion inspo from as part of this workshop will involve creating a mood board of images using fashion/style imagery.
