The shortlisted writers will be talking about and reading from their books in a special event.
The nominations are Water in the Desert Fire in the Night by Gethan Dick (Tramp Press) , Assembling Ailish by Sharon Guard (Poolbeg), The Wardrobe Department by Elaine Garvey (Cannongate), Ordinary Saints by Niamh Ni Mhaoileoin (Manilla Press an imprint of Bonnier Books). It will provides a wonderful opportunity for readers and writers to listen to, ask questions of and meet new writers at the beginning of their careers. The prize this year is €5000, very kindly sponsored by Bill and Denise Whelan.
