One of the most scenic trails in Limerick City which celebrates Limerick’s greatest Olympian of the modern era, Frank O’Mara.
This 3.25km shared walkway/cycleway weaves its way through a special area of conservation along the River Shannon from Limerick City centre to the University of Limerick campus. The route also boasts a range of outdoor fitness equipment for all to enjoy!
The route has been provided with public lighting to improve usability into the late evenings. Seating is available at locations along the route to allow people to take a rest while admiring the beautiful surroundings.
From the city centre the route starts at the Guinness Bridge, and ends at the UL Boat House.
