La Cucina opened its doors in 2003 selling proper Italian food to take-away.
The focus was on using the best quality ingredients and authentic recipes handed down from Mamma Anna. Bruno did the cooking and Lorraine worked the front of house and it was a success from day one.
As time went on there was an obvious demand for more seating and a change of direction, so in 2009 the shop was renovated & additional seating for 18 was added.
The menu was changed, new Italian suppliers came on board sourcing direct from Italy, the queues were out the door and the rave reviews & awards followed. (Best Casual Dining in Limerick, Munster & Ireland 2010 & 2011)
