Limerick Library Services provides for the culture, education, information, learning, recreation and study needs of people of all ages in the county.
The aim of the Library Service is to act as a focal point for social and cultural life by extending the joys of reading, lifelong learning and discovery to all.
What services are available?
You are welcome to browse and make selections. Please limit the duration of your visit and observe all health and safety procedures. Please use self-service machines where possible.

Let us know your reading interests, we can make a selection for you that can be collected during opening times.
Limerick Library's hugely popular online services will continue to be provided; free access to eBooks, newspapers, magazines, local history, language learning courses, Decade of Centenaries digital exhibitions and Storytime. Click here for more.
Please Note: In accordance with public health guidelines, reading/ study spaces, PCs, Internet & WiFi, newspapers and magazines, community rooms, exhibition spaces and public toilets are not available at this time.

In line with current public health guidelines the PC room, exhibition space, craft room, language room and sensory room, are not available at this time.
Autism and Visiting the Library
A social story has been compiled to familiarise autistic individuals with the Limerick Library Service and what to expect when visiting a library branch. To download the social story to your phone of tablet click here.
A Sensory Room is a specially designed room that can help individuals with sensory impairments, learning and development difficulties and those on the Autism spectrum. Sensory rooms combine a range of stimuli to aid, develop and engage the senses.
Watch House Cross Community Library Sensory Room has a range of visual, tactile, auditory and vestibular stimuli. The Sensory Room is available for use by parents, guardians and carers of children, teens and adults with Autism, sensory impairments, special needs and learning and development difficulties. It is also available for teachers and SNAs to use.
The Sensory Room can be booked for 30 minute sessions by contacting Watch House Cross Library at 061-557726.
