Our aviation visitor centre is open to groups and individuals all year round. Learn about Shannon Airport’s unique history and contribution to global aviation.
See the timeless voices of Irish Aviation, an video history of some of the characters who developed and pioneered Irish Aviation. Exhibits include a BAC 1-11 cockpit and fuselage section, this aircraft was retired in 2000 after a long service and is now repainted in its original 1969 BAE livery.
Also on view is a BAe 146 flight simulator project in work, as well as various aircraft parts such as Phantom F4 rudder. See and learn about Jet Engines, on display Rolls Royce Avon and Conway engines, Step back in time to view historical Celestial Navigation instruments used in 1940’s, and a great collection of memorabilia and artifacts.
