Intreo, the Irish public employment service, will be hosting their Mid-West Careers Fair in collaboration with the Mid-West Regional Skills Forum in the South Court Hotel, Limerick on 2nd March 2020 from 10.30am - 4.00pm.  This event is free to all those who attend.  It is one of over 120 events being hosted by the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection during the first week of March as part of the annual Jobs Week programme of events.

The Careers Fair will host more than 30 employers with hundreds of jobs, available now, across various sectors and industries. The employers are offering jobs in retail, logistics, construction and healthcare in addition to management posts in hospitality. Last year over 1,000 people attended the event.

Intreo is a member of the Mid-West Regional Skills Forum which comprises education and training providers working together with industry and enterprise to identify and address current and future skills needs for employers and jobseekers. Some employers attending will be Johnson & Johnson and Edward Lifesciences with Manufacturing and Engineering type roles, Modular Automation and Total Plastic Solutions with Engineer, Technician and Apprenticeship roles and Bluebird Care and My Homecare for Healthcare assistants and domestic staff.

Coinciding with the live event is an online Careers Fair. Online you will find over 30 employers and 500 jobs available including for example work riders for stables, video game testers, engineers, hospitality and medical staff. More are being added each day. The online event supports chat tools for jobseekers and employers, as well as the opportunity to sign up for online job interviews. To join the online event, go to https://www.europeanjobdays.eu/en/events/careers-ireland-2020

Those who cannot attend one of the Jobs Week events may like to listen to a range of seminars to be livestreamed from Dublin Castle, Intreo Careers Fairs also on Monday 2nd March from 10.00am - 4.00pm. This provides jobseekers who are unable to attend on the day with the opportunity to hear from HR professionals and speakers who will give their top tips for success. Jobseekers can log on to the live stream at www.europeanjobdays.eu
