The popular Twilight evening race meetings return to Greenmount Park for three dates this summer.
Top horse racing action will take place on Saturday 6th of June, Friday 19th of June and Thursday 23rd of July with racing from 5.30pm each evening. Racegoer’s will enjoy excellent hospitality options and live music after racing each evening.
On Saturday 6th of June we stage a national hunt fixtures followed by the Dublin Gospel Choir performing after racing.
The Dublin Gospel Choir are a household name in Ireland, playing a host of concerts each year and their slot at Ireland’s internationally-acclaimed boutique festival Electric Picnic is now legendary.
Friday 19th June is a popular evening for corporate and staff outings to enjoy the racing action and live music with Prison Love after racing.
Prison Love is one of the top exponents of traditional American music in Ireland and has graced stages across the UK, Europe and the US. Prison Love never fail to impress and have received numerous accolades and rave reviews along the way. This is the finest musical-moonshine this side of the big pond. Doesn't matter if you're dancing or listening, come aboard and take a swig of some real deal American roots music.
Thursday 23rd July is the final night with 7 national hunt races on the card followed by country music star Mike Denver.
Mike has recorded 13 albums and 4 DVDS to date. Mikes latest Album is called ''There's Only One'' which includes his very popular single "Tommy K the DJ". Mike has just released his latest single "Rockabilly Jive" which is a great track for all our dancing fans. Mike was one of the first singers to record with the legendary American Country singer George Jones in Nashville with a track called "The Real Deal".
Limerick Racecourse is delighted to confirm that The Crescent Shopping Centre is returning again this year as sponsors of the Twilight Most Stylish Competition. On each evening, the winner will receive €300 worth of jewellery from Neville Jewellers and shoes and handbag from Primadonna.
Fiona Hayes of Fashion Assist will be one of the judges in the most Stylish Lady contest. Fashion Assist is the new wardrobe assistant service in the Shopping Centre which is designed to help women who are time poor, need advice for styling different body shapes.
