The Finance Minister and local TD Michael Noonan will officially launch the Christmas Programme, 'Christmas Celebration of Local Craft' at the Limerick Craft Hub at 12pm on Friday 27th November on Lower Cecil Street.
The Limerick Craft Hub has proved popular with both local people and tourists as a centre of excellence for gifts. Each craft piece has been lovingly handmade in Limerick and the region.
The Craft Hub aims to be your one stop shop this Christmas season, where you can Shop Local and Support Limerick during our extended Opening Times.
The products range from textiles, fashion, and accessories, to ceramics, iron work, prints, woodwork and skincare. We have craft for all ages and budgets.
The Craft Hub not only has a wide range of locally hand crafted items but also offers workshops in jewellery making, ceramics, felting and other crafts on a regular basis. A gift of a new skill would make for an excellent gift to a creative friend or family member. Pick up a Gift Voucher or select a Gift Hamper.
The free weekly Community Craft Corner encourages local craft engagement, with items made going to local charities. Come in from 11am to 1pm to knit for charity in a friendly and welcoming group every Monday and Friday. Community Sewing Corner is now on Thursdays 11am-1pm.
The shop staff in the Hub are friendly and extremely helpful. They will help you select a hand crafted gift for your loved ones. "Handmade is heartfelt" says Fergus Grant Stevenson the Hub’s in house silver smith.
