‘Meet your new employer’ at Our Lady of Lourdes Jobs Fair

  • Jobs Fair - Regeneration

Residents in the Regeneration communities and further afield are being encouraged to attend a Jobs Fair in the area, to ‘meet their new employer’.

The Jobs Fair is taking place this Wednesday 18th May in Our Lady of Lourdes National School, Rosbrien from 6pm - 8pm.

The event will give attendees an outline of the job opportunities that are available at the moment in a range of sectors.

Many of the companies at the fair have opportunities available so it is possible that attendees could be meeting their new employers!

There will be stands from:

  • EI Electronics
  • Johnson & Johnson
  • Irish Home Care
  • Our Lady of Lourdes Community Employment
  • Technological University of the Shannon (TUS)
  • UL Hospitals Group
  • Limerick City and County Council
  • Limerick and Clare Education & Training Board
  • Hospitality Education & Training Centre
  • St. Munchin’s Community Centre
  • Department of Social Protection
  • The Defence Forces
  • Limerick Youth Service
  • FAI-ETB Player Development Programme

This is the second of four events being held in the regeneration areas.

The aim of the jobs fair is to bring employers into the communities and provide attendees with direct contact to the opportunities available within their company. The event will also enable attendees to access information in relation to the supports available to engage in further education, training and employment.

Mayor of the City and County of Limerick Cllr Daniel Butler said: “This first fair took place in March in Moyross and was a huge success with many attendees finding out what jobs and opportunities are there for them. I welcome this second event in Our Lady of Lourdes and would like to encourage everyone to attend and meet prospective employers. I would like to welcome the companies and organisations that have come together to bring this event into the community as it is a great opportunity for residents and people of the neighbouring communities to see what is on offer.

“This event enables the community to interact directly with companies and organisations whether it’s a job you are looking for or if further education and training is a preferred route people would like to pursue, then this is the place to be.”
