Limerick City and County Council are pleased to announce that the Home Improvement Grant Scheme 2022, which is open to Council tenant(s) whose home is within the Newcastle West Municipal District area.
This grant scheme can be used to partially cover the cost of one improvement, which you may wish to complete to your home. The list of home improvements are detailed below.
Please note: Only one grant can be applied for.

| 2 | Upgrade/replace existing kitchen units | €1,000 |
| 3 | Upgrade of boundary fence/wall | €1,200 |
| 4 | Installation/Replacement of external gate(s) | €900 |
| 5 | Installation of dry lining of internal walls with insulated plasterboard | €2,000 |
| 6 | Painting exterior of house | €1,200 |
| 7 | Bathroom refurbishment | €3,500 |
| 8 | Replace bath with shower | €1,000 |
The maximum possible grant may be 75% of the approved cost and is subject to limits, as outlined above. The remaining costs of the home improvement must be paid by the tenant(s). A grant can only be processed once an Approval Letter has issued. Payment of the grant will be processed after the Council confirms that the approved works have been completed and full payment has been made to your contractor.
