Focus on Classics for Third Royal Picture Show Mini Film Festival

The Royal launched another exciting programme at for its third instalment of The Royal Picture Show, at the Clarion Hotel.

Running over four days from Thursday 18th to Sunday 21st September at 69 O’Connell Street (formerly The Belltable), the mini film festival promises to offer something for all the family across the weekend along with a number of free events for Culture Night on Friday, 19th September. 

The Royal is presenting four mini film festivals during Limerick City of Culture 2014, the first two were in February and May and the last two in September and November.

So far, the programme has fulfilled its promise to satisfy the most demanding cinema-goers with a variety of films (many shown in Limerick for the first time), including new works from local & national filmmakers and the very best of international cinema. 

For the third weekend, the focus will be on classics - several musicals, tributes to Madeleine Carroll and Robin Williams, a charity screening night of The Rocky Horror Picture Show in association with Unity Gospel Choir Limerick, an Irish language programme for schools and free events for Culture Night until 11pm.
