River Energy Potential for Limerick City

Wednesday 16th September @ 7.30pm - 8.30pm
  • River potential - City Engage

Communities have the potential to generate significant power from waterways by using hydrokinetic power. Limerick city’s river Shannon can provide abundant, local renewable energy to help achieve our renewable energy generation targets.

In this event you will learn about the potential of HydroKinetic turbines and how these solutions can be used to generate clean, predictable energy from the river right in the heart of Limerick city.

You will input into +CityxChange partner GKinetic’s developing proposal for a HydroKinetic and Solar Hybrid Power Station at Thomond Weir and help to identify key users and stakeholder groups. There will be a number of experts in attendance to provide answers and feedback to initial questions on the developing proposal.
