The multi-award winning Locke Bar sits picturesquely in the heart of Limerick City’s Medieval Quarter, where the Abbey River meets the Shannon. Renowned for its quality and variety of gastro food and its atmospheric character, the Locke Bar also offers two lively traditional Irish music and dance sessions daily, seven nights a week!
The traditional Irish musicians and dancers strike up a session and get the ‘craic’ started. While every session is unique there are different Irish musicians and a variety of traditional Irish music instruments, along with our professional dancers.
The Locke Bar has a history and resonance to its premises that is a rare find anywhere in Ireland. It can be found on the original site of one of Limerick City’s oldest pubs, dating back to 1724. Nearby are some of the city’s most historical landmarks such as St. Mary’s Cathedral, King John’s Castle & the Hunt Museum.
