Chu-Li Shewring works as a filmmaker and sound designer collaborating mainly with artists and independent filmmakers.
She is a visiting sound tutor at the UCL and the National Film and Television School. Before this she worked at the production company Illuminations specialising in films about the arts, then as a medical videographer at Charing Cross Hospital.
During this time Shewring also developed an interest in experimental film-making, and finding herself led by sound in the film-making process, she embarked on a degree in Sound Art at the London College of Communication in 2004, before completing an MA in Sound Design at the National Film and Television School.
Chu-Ling will lead a talk in Dance Limerick on Friday 3rd November.
