The Sugar Skull Makeup Workshop invites the attendees to a journey through the Mexican tradition of the Day of the Dead by remembering and honouring the deceased loved ones through flower making and storytelling and a makeup tutorial.
Mexico’s indigenous festivity dedicated to the dead is a merge of cultures after the arrival of the Spaniards and Catholicism. It is a festive and colourful holiday, a way of honouring the loved ones who departed before us, and celebrating their existence with the belief that they will come visit us every year for one night during the Day of the Dead. This is a workshop open to children, teenagers and adults, who will have the chance to design their own makeup and flowers while listening to Mexican traditional songs and stories.
