An illustrated talk by John Grenham.

The Granary Library presents Ireland's foremost writer on family history research, John Grenham, giving an illustrated talk, 'A Guide to Tracing Your Limerick Ancestors'.

The landscape of family history research has altered immensely in recent years & it will be very interesting to see what avenues of research Mr. Grenham will point his audience towards.

John Grenham was Project Manager with the Irish Genealogical Project from 1991 to 1995. He developed & sold a genealogical software app, 'Grenham’s Irish Recordfinder' & was the first (& so far only) Genealogist-in-Residence at Dublin City Library.

He is a fellow of The Irish Genealogical Research Society & of the Genealogical Society of Ireland. John is the author of Tracing your Irish Ancestors (4th ed. Dublin, Baltimore MD, 2012), the standard reference guide for Irish genealogy & Clans & Families of Ireland (1995), among other works.

He wrote the 'Irish Roots' column in The Irish Times from 2009 to 2016 & ran the Irish Ancestors website until 2016. He now runs the successor website at www.johngrenham.com.
