A national day of creativity for children and young people, Cruinniú na nÓg will take place on Saturday 12 June 2021. Children and young people are invited to take part in a range of events and workshops delivered by Limerick Culture and Arts Office.
This year’s programme will be brought to you in four strands; Workshops, Young Producers, Production Crews and Screenings.
Cruinniú na nÓg is a national initiative that celebrates and encourages participation in culture and creativity through performance, coding, theatre, art and music workshops, readings, screenings, special events and much more.
It is about giving children and young people the opportunity to express themselves through a specially curated programme of cultural and creative activities where they can share their ideas, learn new skills and have fun!
All events are free of charge, child-centred and activity based. It’s a day for lots of doing, making and creating!
All workshops and screenings will be available to view for the duration of the summer.

To celebrate Cruinniú na nÓg, Fresh Film Festival will be hosting a series of in-person workshops. These workshops will be closed to those already involved with the groups listed below and work will begin in the weeks running up to Cruinniú na nÓg and will culminate with intensive workshops on the day. Throughout the day these youth groups across the city and county will be working in film squads to explore youth work through film with their respective youth groups. These workshops will be targeted at young people and groups who have found it difficult to connect throughout the last year due to restrictions on meeting and socialising. Limerick City and County Council, the Arts Office and Fresh Film are delighted to work with such a diverse mix of groups from across the city and county on Cruinniú na Óg.
