Seomra Comhrá: Daniel Scully

Friday 29th May - Friday 19th June @ 9am - 11.30pm
  • Dan Scully, Scarecrow

The Glen Tavern in partnership with F.L.P. (Fun Limerick Productions) present Daniel Scully insa Seomra Comhrá, a new Visual Art experience in the city.

Combining the convivial setting of the traditional Irish Public House and the imagination of artists, Seomra Comhrá (Conversation Room) is a new way of encouraging chat and bringing art into the public realm.

Patrons enjoying the hospitality of The Glen Tavern may absorb the ambience of tradition, while being exposed to new ideas and art – sláinte mhaith!

Seomra Comhrá occupies a special corner of the bar, and will host new works and potential oddities to spur the intellect and art of conversation, in a fun and approachable manner.

Daniel Scully

Daniel Scully is a documentary photographer whose practice engages with the complex intersections between urban and rural experience. Through a lens shaped by personal proximity to both spheres, Scully’s work interrogates the shifting boundaries, social dynamics, and cultural narratives that emerge where these environments converge.

His photographic inquiries reveal the subtle negotiations of identity, place, and belonging that occur within these overlapping landscapes. With over two decades of professional experience, Scully has contributed to photography across multiple contexts, encompassing conceptual development, production, exhibition, education, and touring.
